    If there’s anything I don’t like about Disney Infinity it’s that they have
    all their recent successes take center stage and give a back seat to their
    all time classics. Evident by the fact that they chose Angelina Jolie’s
    incarnation of Maleficent rather than the classic animated one, granted,
    there’s not a hugely noticeable distinction, but it’s still there, and it
    was clearly done to promote that specific imagining of the story because it
    is the most relevant. Even Merida was kind of a one off character who
    didn’t really go anywhere in terms of impact on pop culture, and whose only
    real purpose was for the studios to push their poorly executed agenda of
    having a strong female lead. And the problem goes further than that, the
    very fact that they included Lone Ranger characters upon launch (or even at
    all) and saved Mickey Mouse for wave 2 shows how backwards their thinking
    is. I’m just saying it would be nice if we had representatives that
    encompass all of Disney’s greatness and history, rather than just the
    current and relevant ones that will likely become obsolete within a
    relatively short timeframe.
