RE4 is my number 2 favorite game of all time following Metal Gear Solid
(ps1) never before or since re4 have I played a single game for lesd than
an hour and immediately went out that day and bought an entire system for
that game alone as I did when re4 came out, played it at a friends house,
about 45 minutes later, bro I’m outta here, why he asks? Going to buy a
gamecube!

RE4 was a great game…i must admit…but by far my most fav game of all
time is « Shadow of the Colossus » that is a work of art….hands down…and
i also feel him when he said RE4 pulled him back in to games…Gears of War
1 did the same for me…pulled me right back into gaming….i’ma be 87
years old trying to pick up a control pad….XD’ing

Really? Resident evil 4 has the worst controls ever, shit was dated as hell
even when it was first released. The best game of all time is CoD 4 that
game had hours of online entertanment and stuff to unlock.

RE4 is not only a great horror/action game it is also an immensely
innovative and influential work. The experience of playing the game is so
addictive I now own it for five different systems with only the PC version
being excluded…for now. It is also the very reason I first bought a
GameCube and later a PS2. Dunno exactly how many times I have completed the
game. Maybe a half dozen or so each on the Wii and PS2. Maybe another half
dozen times split up between the X360 and PS3 versions. The GameCube of
course has seen the most action as far as RE4 goes. I’d say at least 25 to
30 times all the way through. Never before or since has a game so
completely captured my fascination and respect.

Definitely belongs in any top 10. Not only did it revive the RE franchise
and reinvent it, it also is the progenitor of the modern 3rd person shooter
and established all of the tropes that persist in TPS games to this day,
most notably the avatar being offcenter to give the player a better view of
what is in front of him. Cliffy B himself said he was directly influenced
by RE4 when he made Gears of War.

Person RE are just Garbage. Fixed Camera is the only good ones. Last fixed
camera RE was the DLC for RE5. That’s the Last Good RE

Resident Evil 4 was an amazing game, there’s no doubting that. Probably
the best survival horror game of all time. Unfortunately it was the the
start some thing bad for the RE series. I’ve always said that RE4 was a
beautiful seed that was never meant to be planted, just preserved in a jar
somewhere. Instead it was put in the dirt and out sprouted RE 5 & 6, the
ugliest tree in Capcoms garden. IMO, Resident Evil 2 (for nostalgia
reasons) > REmake (this is without a doubt the best in the series) >
